TOPIC 7: USING PODCAST AND DIGITAL STORYTELLING FOR LANGUAGE LEARNING

I had learnt about a new topic which is about a podcasting for language learning. Podcasting is a way of delivering an audio message to your audience. A podcast is made up of audio files that your listeners can subscribe to, just like a magazine. This files can be transferred to an IPod or other MP3 player using a podcasting application or we can called it as software. With podcasting, you can listen to radio programs or watch events whenever and wherever you choose.

There are some equipment that you need for podcasting. The basic requirements for podcasting are a computer, podcasting software, and an internet connection. For portability, an IPod, cell phone, blackberry, other MP3 player is needed. After completing your podcast, you can upload it to your favourite podcast medium such as Youtube, iTunes, SoundCloud or Blog. 

For my opinion, as a student, this podcast are very helpful to most of the students in order to learn something new. Podcast enable students to share their knowledge and expertise with others through a creative outlet. Podcast also help the students to empower students to form a relationship with the content and each other in relevant way. It also a another  way for students to be creating and contributing ideas to a larger conversation, and it is a way of archiving that contributing for future audiences to use.
