TOPIC 2: INTRODUCTION TO CALL



Imagine life without the evolution of technology. What kind of life do we have right now? 😱
Technologies have become an inseparable part of our daily life. Today we have various emerging technologies which impact our lives in different ways so one of the technologies is CALL. 
i have learnt CALL since diploma. CALL is a Computer Assisted Language Learning, it has been used widely to refer to the area of technology and second language teaching and learning. It is a process in which a learner uses a computer to improve his or her language. 

We have 4 types CALL Programs:

1) CALL-Specific Software
    - Applications designed to develop and facilitate language          
     learning.

2) Generic Software
     - Application designed for general purpose. 


3) Web-based Learning Programs
   


4) CMC - computer-mediated communication

For this topic, i learnt about the instructional design. Instructional design is the process of design not only for function, but for appeal. this includes problem-solving procedures, a solution. developing materials and activities, and to create instruction that is efficient. TOPIC 7: USING PODCAST AND DIGITAL STORYTELLING FOR LANGUAGE LEARNING

I had learnt about a new topic which is about a podcasting for language learning. Podcasting is a way of delivering an audio message to your audience. A podcast is made up of audio files that your listeners can subscribe to, just like a magazine. This files can be transferred to an IPod or other MP3 player using a podcasting application or we can called it as software. With podcasting, you can listen to radio programs or watch events whenever and wherever you choose. There are some equipment that you need for podcasting. The basic requirements for podcasting are a computer, podcasting software, and an internet connection. For portability, an IPod, cell phone, blackberry, other MP3 player is needed.
