TOPIC 6: INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN

For this topic, i learnt about the instructional design. Instructional design is the process of design not only for function, but for appeal. this includes problem-solving procedures, a solution. developing materials and activities, and to create instruction that is efficient. This does not mean it solely relates to education. It can be defined using the acronym ADDIE which is Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation.


Here is the basic steps of instructional design (ADDIE):
  1. Analysis - What are the end user (audience) characteristics? Scope project timeline, budget, project complexity.
  2. Design - Evaluate and organize content. Define graphical assets and e-learning medium characteristics.
  3. Develop - Create deliverable with appropriate development tools using information gathered in steps 1 and 2.
  4. Implement - Ensure that end-users have appropriate instructions to access and use the deliverable and work towards maximum usability withing the hosting environment.
  5. Evaluate - Gather feedback from end users and iterate process to improve deliverable.
